Good morning Friends! It is Monday morning and I know that causes groans of distress for some of you. I am on a mission today though to infuse some upbeat, positive thought into this day. And what better day to start than on Martin Luther King, Jr’s Holiday – the day that celebrates a man who had a unfailingly positive vision for the world, even in the midst of fear, oppression, and violence.
In our world we are often smothered by bad news, trashy stories of celebrities, an exposé of poor behavior by politicians, and countless other stories that wear on the human spirit. I would love to make a tiny bit of a difference in the social media world by sharing a thought of two here with uplifting news, stories, or quotes that will build you up or give you a different perspective for your day. 🙂
So today I am sharing the following:
“Accept – then act. Whatever the present moment contains, accept it as if you had chosen it. Always work with it, not against it.” –Eckhart Tolle
What does this mean to you? Can you find yourself if this or are you fighting your day-to-day moments?
I will freely admit that I struggle with this one. I am going to make this my goal this week: truly act as if I have chosen the moment that I am in. How much will my attitude change? We’ll see!
Feel free to tell me what you think of this. And join me in using this as an experiment for yourselves. I would love to hear if you try this and how it worked. In the interest of accountability, I will report back in my Sunset Café post later this week. Wish me luck!!
Peace and health,
