I have a kitchen tip for you today! My household loves hard-boiled eggs. For so many years I have struggled with trying to peel the shell off without taking out chunks of egg white! I have tried so many different methods but finally I have the answer. It is steam! Instead of boiling the eggs in a pot of water, I steam them like you would vegetables. Here’s the step by step for those who like it.
Place a steamer basket in the bottom of your pot and fill with water to just under the basket.
Place your eggs in one layer in the basket and cover the pot.
Bring to a boil and continue boiling for ten minutes. When the time is up, turn off the heat but leave the eggs undisturbed with the lid still on for another 5 minutes.
Then rinse your eggs in cold water or submerge them in an ice bath to stop the cooking process.
Peel and enjoy your perfect eggs!
Do any of you have any other magical kitchen tips? I’d love to hear them!
Peace and health,
