Personal Paradise Tuesday – A Treasure Trove at My Fingertips

Happy Tuesday Friends! This week I found a quick and easy Personal Paradise moment. In front of my eyes everyday sits a resource that is exemplary. From the time that my husband was 10 years old he has received National Geographic Magazine. His collection now spans over a century. Some people may think it’s silly in the digital age to collect magazines, but these magazines are full of award-winning photography, detailed history, unparalleled geography, are an educators dream! Of all the things to enjoy, these beauties are certainly a good option. And really, considering what some people collect, (beanie babies anyone?) I think this is solidly worthwhile. 🙂

So here I sit on many days, having many resources for educating my children at my fingertips and I still find myself searching the web and the library for many things. Today I looked up. What a treasure trove we have! In depth articles on countless topics – surely one would match our activities for the week!

Now I may have teased Mr Hubby in the past since his beloved collection broke the movers’ hand truck when we moved out of our third floor apartment many years ago, but I really do actually like having these bright volumes in our home. How many other people are lucky enough to have such a useful collection in their homes?
