Sunset Café Saturday – Gardening Tidbits

Welcome to the weekend Friends! I don’t know about you, but our week has been long and busy! Not bad, just very full. This weekend is mostly going to be filled with gardening and some faith-based activities.

Actually, we got lucky on the gardening front this week. I thought it was going to rainy for most of the week but we dodged most of the rain and storms so Mr B and I got all the yard mowed and I squeezed in a bit of weeding. Goodness knows we are already drowning in weeds but I’m determined to not let it bother me as much this year. 🙂

I certainely can’t complain much since every time I look out front right now I am sighing with pleasure at the beautiful flowers that are in bloom. We are very blessed with such a green, fertile space to call ours!

So for those of you that are going to be outside this weekend, I have a funny for you to consider. Apparently today is World Naked Gardening Day. Well then! I’m not sure how this one started but I’m thinking my neighbors are too visible to be pleased with us trying this.

Not to mention all those pesky details like sunburn, thorn scratches, poison ivy, and dirt in a variety of nooks!

So naked gardening aside, we will weed and play and visit with some of our loved ones.

Next week I think we will be working on some more outdoor projects but I hope to do some field trips as well. I have also been thinking of re-working some clothing items for myself and Miss S, so if I have a few minutes I will bond a bit with my sewing machine.

How is your weekend shaping up? Any grand plans for the week? Share if you will!

Peace and health,

Jennifer
