Hello Friends! It’s time for another book review. 🙂 This time it is a little more lighthearted and silly. Sometimes a book’s title is so interesting or quirky that you just feel compelled to read it. Such was the case for me with “How to Quinoa: Life Lessons From My Imaginary Well-Dressed Daughter.”
Apparently, this book was born out of a wildly successful pinterest board by the same name that I hadn’t yet heard of. This book is a feast of fun, and often slightly quirky, photos of little girls and boys in outfits and settings that inspire thoughts of fashion magazine spreads or New York fashion week. Along side these photo spreads are captions or short explanations that range from funny to outrageous, to completely tongue in cheek.
The thing that I love about this book is the hilarious way the author gives life tips from “Quinoa” on all the ways to be the best at everything and have everyone idolize you. The photos in this book are beautiful and creative with just enough of the avant-garde to make them particularly striking. If you are tired of parenting book touting reason and routine, this book can lift you out of the rut and give you a reason to laugh and giggle!
Peace and health,
