Sunday Reflection – July 26th, 2015

“There is a life force within us that helps us ride through the panic. Riding through the panic usually means letting oneself into it quite completely. Go inside to discover the hidden fears. Voice them in words, song, prose, poetry, to a tape recorder, a friend, or a therapist. Or if the fears come to you in images, paint or draw them, dance and move with them. Don’t keep secrets from yourself. Poke around in the hidden crannies of your fears to see what is lurking there and bring them out into the sunlight. It is not easy. But as with nightmares, fears feel different in the daylight. The unknown is more fearful than the known.”
