Happy Tuesday Friends! We have some crafty fun for our Personal Paradise Moment today. The great season of football is upon us! While many people are cheering the return of this crazy sport, some just tolerate it’s existence. I’d even venture to say that some actually don’t enjoy the process at all!
Now, I am in the “vaguely-enjoying-it-and-supporting-my-husband’s-deep-love-of-it” camp. He, of course, is a devoted fan of his favorite team (Go Eagles!), and I grew up in the D.C. area with parents from the D.C. area so it has to be Redskins all the way! We have fun every fall trash talking each other’s teams and finding other people to support our respective teams.
This year I thought it would be fun to really enjoy the beginning of the football season with Mr Hubby since he enjoys it so much. So being the crafty addict that I am, I thought the little ones could get into it with me and we would make a fun something to promote the commencement of the family arguing. Now this did require a little pre-planning.
In order to do this craft we had to eat a lot of beans last week.
Yes, with the consumption of two very large cans of baked beans, my kiddos were ready to use those now empty, clean cans to create some celebration! Needless to say we couldn’t have just one team represented. Hence, the two cans of beans needed. 🙂 And now we can look out on the porch and see the ceremonial colors of our favorite teams proudly blowing in the wind.
Don’t forget the wardrobe choices too!
How does your household do football? Is it all but ignored or do you live for game time? Perhaps you have a split team home too? I’d love to see some pictures or hear how you all fare doing this season!
Peace and health,
