What To Eat and What To Play On This Spring Day

Happy Saturday Friends!

We are getting back into the swing of our usual family life now that I’ve settled in after my recent travels. This week has finally brought us some pretty weather and I, for one, am looking forward to being outside in the yard more!

One of the other things I’m working on is getting back into meal planning so we can have yummy meals without breaking the bank, and with less effort. I don’t know about you, but I eat better, and with more variety, if I plan ahead a little. So this past week my table has seen cheese enchiladas, maple mustard pork loin with mashed potatoes, and baked chicken with loaded cauliflower casserole, among other dishes. (And for the record – the cauliflower casserole was amazing and all the kids devoured it!)

How do you meal plan? I have tried plenty of methods but I don’t know that I have a favorite yet. As a matter of fact, I’m trying out a new process now, so I’ll have to let you know how it works out. But I’m always open to ideas so share away!

They other thing we are enjoying is our multi-age soccer group. Two of my boys are playing soccer for 3 hours each friday, while the rest of the kids play on the playground. And if that isn’t enough fun, the Mamas then get to hang out together and chat and share ideas. What a great day!

Tell me – what are you up to? And how are you keeping your kiddos busy and smiling?

Peace and health,

Jennifer
